On Saturday, July 11, 2026, Toronto Camera Club members gathered on St Clair West Toronto to photograph the Fiesta Parade during the Salsa on St. Clair event. There was plenty to photograph on a beautiful summer afternoon.
Prior to the parade’s start, Club Members photographed parade participants who were waiting for the start of the parade. The atmosphere was celebratory. The colourful and elaborate costumes, represented various South American countries. The dance performances, provide opportunities to photograph images with different shutter speeds and various in-camera techniques.
Unfortunately, later that evening the event was marred by violence. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of those who died. We wish a quick recovery to those injured and distressed.
